Response to Critical CommentsI think the theme does not represent satisfaction. The speaker claims that the darkness is just a mask and depression is a demond. This does not, in any way, show satisfaction in the speaker's struggles.
I agree with this statement. By saying the black is murderous, it proves how much darkness is welled up inside the speaker. There is so much anger built up it could hurt, or even kill, all that's left of the speaker's sanity. I agree and disagree with this statement. I believe some of the speaker's anger is boiled up because of hatred of others and love, yet I also feel it is all in the speaker's head. She cannot escape both herself and others anger. |
